HISTORY

The U-1211 aircraft on display at the Museum flew 1,386 hours.

This Vampire Trainer flew in Switzerland from 1958 to 1990. During its use in the Air Force, this aircraft was equipped with cameras and was used to shoot many films. Purchased from the Air Force at an auction on 23 March 1991 by a group of pilots and enthusiasts, it waited until its time on the tarmac of Sion.

It was transported to Payerne in 2000 and restored in 2001.
